Selecting a Contact in an Illustration

1. Start an illustration.
   1. On the Go To menu, click Create a Product Illustration

      -or-

      On the Home page navigation pane, click New Illustration.

   2. On the Start New Illustration page, select the Source Information for the new case:
      1. In the list, select the Issue State for the owner of the policy or contract.
      2. In the list, select the Product Type that you are illustrating. Available products will then display in the Product Selection grid.
      3. In the list, select a Sales Concept.
   3. In the Product Selection grid, select the Product Name to illustrate.
2. In Client Information, click the Select Contact link.
3. Click a contact name in the Contacts grid.

   If you cannot find a contact, see Finding Contacts.

   1. On the Go To menu, click Contacts.

      -or-

      On the Home page in the navigation pane, under Contact Management, click Contact List.

   2. If you know the contact type, on the left under View Options, click a contact type: Individuals, Groups, Producers, Households, Businesses or Trust.

      The Contacts grid displays only contacts that match the selected contact type.

   3. If you do not know the contact type, on the left under View Options, click All Contacts.
      1. In the Search for Contacts box, type the beginning of the contact name that you want to locate.

         After you type the first three characters, the system returns up to 10 possible Contact Name matches in a list that opens below the box.

      2. In the contact search match list, click the contact name you want,

         -or-

         Click to populate the Contacts grid with all matching search results.

   4. In the Contacts grid under Full Name, click the name of the contact you want.

      To sort the Contacts grid, click the applicable column title. For example, to sort the grid by contact name, click the Full Name column title to display the contacts alphabetically.

   The system populates the contact's demographic information in the illustration.
