The DIR rider provides disability coverage for eligible occupations, due to either sickness or accident. The rider can remain in-force until the insured's age 65. DIR is not available if the policy is rated.
DIR – 2 Year Specifications:
Issue Ages: 18 – 55
Minimum DIR Amount: $300
Maximum DIR Amount: Lesser of 60% of the insured's gross income OR 2% of the Face Amount OR $2,000
Waiting Period: 3 months
Maximum Benefit Period: 2 Years
DIR – 5 Year Specifications:
Issue Ages: 18 – 55
Minimum DIR Amount: $300
Maximum DIR Amount: Lesser of 60% of the insured's gross income OR 2% of the Face Amount OR $2,000
Waiting Period: 6 months
Maximum Benefit Period: 5 Years
