National Life Group appoints new Regional Vice President to lead southeast life insurance growth

Montpelier, VT - (December 11, 2024) – National Life Group, a leader in life insurance and term insurance solutions, has appointed Yohannes Worku as the southeast Regional Vice President for Affiliated Distribution, beginning December 10.

Worku is a highly accomplished financial services leader with more than 17 years of experience in life insurance distribution and agent development, recruitment, and market expansion. He has a proven history of leading high-performing teams and driving substantial premium growth across various regions.

Prior to joining National Life, Worku led a diverse region that covered 21 firms across multiple states. Throughout his career, he has consistently demonstrated the ability to build strong relationships with agents and leaders while implementing innovative strategies that foster business growth. His commitment to agent development and personal growth is evident in his leadership approach and certifications, including his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.

Worku lives in Charlottesville, Virginia, with his wife and two children and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Eastern Mennonite University.
