National Life Group donates more than $2.1 million to nonprofit organizations
More than $2.1 million donated through the National Life Group Foundation to Vermont and Dallas-area nonprofits supporting children’s mental health and childhood hunger.
MONTPELIER, Vt, (June 17, 2026) – National Life Group announced today that the National Life Group Foundation donated $2,105,686 to nonprofits in Vermont and the Dallas, Texas, region, with a focus on addressing children’s mental health and ending childhood hunger, the company’s core causes.
Recipients of the ten largest annual grants are:
- Vermont Foodbank ($150,000)
- North Texas Food Bank ($150,000)
- Hunger Free Vermont ($150,000)
- Parkland Health Foundation ($55,000)
- Boston Children’s Hospital ($50,000)
- Capstone Community Action ($50,000)
- Spectrum Youth & Family Services ($50,000)
- Vogel Alcove ($40,000)
- The Family Place ($35,000)
- King Street Center ($30,000)
“There is extraordinary work happening every day in our communities, driven by nonprofit organizations that are creating meaningful change and expanding opportunities for those who need them most,” said John Mullett, president and CEO of the National Life Group Foundation. “We are proud to support these efforts through grants that help address critical challenges, including children’s mental health and childhood hunger, while strengthening the vitality and resilience of the communities where we live and work.”
The National Life Group Foundation received a record 262 applications during its annual general grant cycle.
In addition to providing financial support through grants, National Life also encourages its employees to take 40 hours of paid volunteer time annually and hosts the National Life Group Do Good Fest benefit concert series. Do Good Fest will be held on the company’s campus in Vermont on July 11 and at the Levitt Pavilion in Arlington, Texas, on October 24. Both shows will benefit the National Life Peace of Mind Fund which supports nonprofits that address youth mental health.
